Hey.

I’m Courtney, but people call me Coco. I currently lead Brand and Experience at Sonder, where I recently shipped a brand and experience revamp that defines the vision and strategy for the guest experience across digital to physical.

Prior to Sonder, I was a Senior Design Lead at IDEO, leading large scale engagements ranging from hardware/software product development to brand/experience strategy and design. At IDEO, I led a diverse set of clients spanning technology, retail, e-commerce, and hospitality, including: Google, Logitech, Nike, Walmart, Steelcase, Sephora, Swarovski, and Four Seasons.

As a trained architect and systems designer, I practiced in the Netherlands with Rem Koolhaas at the architecture firm OMA, where I designed exhibits, furniture, art galleries, and shows for brands like Prada, Knoll, and Galeries Lafayette.

With my multidisciplinary background, I particularly enjoy bringing an artistic and cultural sensibility to my product and strategy work, while remaining deeply rooted in human needs. My work has been featured in a number of publications, such as The New York Times, Wallpaper* magazine, Fast Company, and Core77.

Outside of work, you can find me teaching and mentoring students in design and innovation at the Stanford d.school and UC Berkeley's Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation and searching for the next best restaurant and travel experience.
